aTomic Tom Wright Richmond Yes, the recordings are crap. In some songs, you can hear the classic de-tuning, or warbling caused by the warping or stretching of the physical recording "tape". I wrote and recorded most of these songs in the late 70s and 80s on a TASCAM PotraStudio 244, 4-track casette deck. The later songs were recorded in the early 90s on a Windows PC using Cakewalk software. Many of the vocals were recorded in my bedroom closet. The songs were transferred to regular cassette tapes throughout the years and finally digitally recorded in 2016 from an ION Tape Express. Keyboards - Crumar Performer (a gift from my Dad when I was a sophomore in high school so I could play in my first rock band) - KORG Poly 800 (yes, I played it like a guitar in concert) - Sequential Circuits Multi-Track (the oscillators would constantly go out of tune) - Ensoniq ESQ-1 (it had the best piano sample at the time) Drum Machines - Sequential Circuits TOM (but of course!) - Alesis HR-16 Try to ignore the quality of the recordings and instead focus on the compositions. A lot of thought and heart went into these songs. Start Here Album - Caution - Tear the World Apart (the first song I ever recorded) - Writing on the Wall (first song I played guitar on) - Amazing Grace (The intro bass line is a tribute to the song "Red Barchetta" by Rush) - The Crying Time (Written in the middle of the night while on vacation in Germany. First piano notes taken from Kansas' "Play the Game Tonight") Album - Adiktive - Glass - Ship of Space - ELPW I hope you enjoy listening to my works. Feel free to contact me if you have questions or feedback. Cheers!
