Dubstep Glitch-Hop by ashahay published on 2014-01-26T13:03:56Z This is the first electronic song I've produced using my own synths, and a few samples I bought off Primeloops. I pretty much just made some drum loops, messed around designing a ton of bass tracks and chucked them wherever it didn't sound terrible, then made some sound effects, made some more simple synths to make a build, breakdown, and outro. Lastly I convereted a sample of someone talking into a MIDI file, assigned the slices to a drum rack, then recorded it with a randomized arpegiator and automated the note speed, and did some manual arranging to make the glitch vocals. I barely bothered with mixing and mastering. I made this made following tomcosm's dubstep glitch-hop power course. I changed some parameters, arrangements, automation, used my own samples, and tried to use different notes in D minor. I learned so much more than I'd imagined- I highly recommend tom cosms website! I'll probably keep changing this song and will upload any significant updates.
