Empty-V" Sucks commodified that sub culture for cash. Extant FOSS & sub & counter cultures, Witch house, Lassigue Bendthaus, sub-bass? woofers, sound fungineering & underground creative outlets who thinks trap is the worst genre name yet coined, but I am OK with some of it & even noise yes, noise. (I had a project once known as 0Signal, no you probably haven't heard [of] it, deliberately limited.)
I began informal musical instruction with hymns & pianos & religious abuse; I mean: Sunday school & church. Later: formal lessons with a recorder & percussion as a toddler in preschool & kindergarten & I continued onto eventually devote 5 days a week to music classes for ≈ a decade of my life before I even attended University. I was promoted to a 1st chair orchestral & big band trumpet player, but later demoted to 2nd chair due to excruciatingly painful blood rituals inflicted upon teens known more commonly as: orthodontic braces. Despite debilitations I still received a scholarship to the Monterey Jazz Camp in the 1980s & performed in a junior improv ensemble as a Festival stage opener for John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie RIP when I was 12 & it's been downhill for me in the eyes of "cultured" boomers ever since. j/k
I continued as a guest DJ on WWWA Techno Jams on KSPB in the 1990s.
Later: I was eventually a resident DJ & VJ at The Box & Fate @ The Blue Lagoon, & The Porn Palace & SF Armory as I was a Senior System Administrator for Kink.com. Nicknamed a shamanic supplier of gear to myriad other DJs & performers for the past decade & change as well.

I rarely share my given name & utilize aliases in art & occasionally professional realms, there are at least 2/3 others scattered in this bio.
Unix wiz? I design & build hardware & program too from lower level 6502, Z-80x86-64, 68k, MIPS, ARM & RISC-V asm to lower grade OS & above level: e.g. C, golang, .csh, ECMAScript, Java, BASIC, Python, Ruby & Haskell. Past sets have included not just beats & vid projections & flame effects & MIDI & OSC & MODs but software in source & binary forms: if you can imagine something like Final Scratch or Serato or xwax Digital Vinyl Simulation controls but for all executable code: i.e. akin to a playback mechanism to a game such as Braid & applying it to (in theory*) any executable software* for cue/drop points in software emulation or hypervisors & distributed hyperkernels thus: pure A/V with 0 loss or only original* compression.
