On Tuesday 31 January President Michael D. Higgins hosted a New Years' Greetings Ceremony for members of the Diplomatic Corp at Áras an Uachtaráin.

In his speech, the President spoke of the rapid and fundamental changes to the international system and the importance of safeguarding and defending the mechanisms for collective action to address global challenges.
