Forgotten Foods of New York City by AnneNoyesSaini published on 2012-12-02T04:12:39Z In this ongoing audio project (now a Narratively multimedia feature: http://narrative.ly/hidden-history/forgotten-foods-of-new-york/ & a Third Coast Audio Festival ShortDocs submission: http://thirdcoastfestival.org/library/1264-appetite-for-home-bitter-sweet-memories-of-learning-to-cook-eat-in-america), longtime New Yorkers recall family cooking traditions, foods from home lost to immigration, and NYC's bygone era of milkmen, wandering produce sellers, automats, and soda fountains. These may be forgotten to most of us, but they are still alive in these New Yorkers' memories.
