Angus Oastler Angus Oastler Gold Coast, QLD Angus Oastler is a self proclaimed singer-songwriter in his own rite, he’s been accused of coming from a similar mould to Neil Young and David Bowie, but let that drag you away from his uniqueness. His songs are filled with tight, mellowed out grooves, sitting in the realms of americana and folk, his mysterious yet thought-provoking lyrics will draw you in, he has already put out 2 EPs so far, his most recent being The Lake in 2017, as about to release another very soon, he has been on SEED, put out by Griffith University in 2016, which includes his song Deep Inside produced by fellow muso & friend Fletcher Babb. He got his 1st taste of country and folk from his mum playing Kasey Chambers constantly as a kid. There are a few different artists and bands in his calibre of influences ranging from Rufus Wainwright to Jethro Tull, even from the likes of Ryan Adams and Justin Townes Earle and from that develops his own style.
