Andy Mangels Andy Mangels Portland Baritone singer here, who loves showtunes, ballads, and complicated songs. I got involved in musical theatre from age 11-18, then quit for a long time, discouraged and thinking I didn't have what it took to go any further in college. About 35, I picked up singing again, and started trying to work with my voice, mostly performing at local benefit shows and karaoke nights in Portland, OR, and eventually a few newer theatrical productions. In 2012, I put a singing group together called Broadway Bears (www.BroadwayBears.org), and in the time since, we've done about a twenty benefit concerts, performed for thousands of people at Peacock in the Park, and made other stage appearances. I have a lot of room to grow, but I think I bring a lot of heart and feeling and stage presence when I sing. Recordings I post here (unless noted) are recorded on a Samson G-Track USB condenser microphone (http://tinyurl.com/c9k9lqu) and processed with Audacity 1.3.7 (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) and GarageBand '08/4.1.2. The karaoke tracks I record with are almost all purchased from the best source I've found on the net, http://www.karaoke-version.com/ Hope you enjoy some of what I post...
