Andrija Antić better known as Andrew Meller began dabbling in the electronic music world in 2009, mainly through his projects ReWire, Beat And Juice & Depth Perception.
He started DJing under the Andrew Meller alias in 2014. Compared to the rest, this project is a solo one, which allows him to fully emerge in music, producing and playing tracks that have both house, deep house, tech house & techno influences.
A big breakthrough in his career was the year 2018. Beginning of the year his Insomnia edit made it to top #2 of both main & tech house charts on Beatport, entering the race for track of the year. Just a few short months after, Glasgow Underground put out his cover version of the timeless track Born Slippy. Born Slippy Reincarnation Mix held onto the #1 spot on the main Beatport chart for 50 days, making it the most purchased track on the website for 2018. Since its release, Born Slippy Reincarnation Mix spent a whole year on Beatport’s tech house chart.
This track continues to shake the dance floors all over the world, played by giants like Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber, Paco Osuna & Nakadia.
Second half of 2018, Meller’s release Godfather's Dance came out on Saved Records, just in time for club season. This track made it to #12 on the Beatport tech house chart & was supported by names like Richy Ahmed, Andrea Oliva, Technasia, Darius Syrossian, Mark Knight & others…
The first months of 2019 were marked by Space Invaders remix for Italian Record Label Frequenza & a collab release The Morning After EP with CJ Jeff for Saved Records. End of May, another Italian label Flashmob put out Meller’s music. Singl Bee made it to #35 on the Beatport charts refreshing the festival season. Over the course of summer EP Landing was put out on Danny Serrano’s label – Seranno’s Kitchen, which included Meller originals & a remix by Serrano himself.
Besides great releases, Andrew Meller had a bundle of important gigs in 2019. Closing after Solomun & Boris Brejcha at UNTOLD festival in Romania & playing after Hot Since 82 in front of more than 5000 people in Belgrade, are just two of them. Both of these sets are available for streaming on YouTube.
Just like Godfather’s Dance came out in time for club season the year prior, mid-September 2019 Andrew had another important release. Sola, Solardo’s planetary popular label put out Miss You EP. This release included two Meller originals & a remix by Max Chapman.
October 2019 isn’t less important for this DJ/producer. In addition to gigs at Amsterdam Dance Event with Exit festival & Flashmob Records DJ family, he had 3 important releases out: Nic Fanciulli included his track SWAG in a compilation celebrating 15 years of Saved Records, Toolroom Trax put out his track 2000 souls & Kittball released his collab EP with Raumakustik The Funk – currently taking the Beatport charts by storm.
