Capriccio for Mixed Ensemble and Piano (2018) by André McEvenue published on 2018-06-20T19:49:07Z Capriccio is a single movement “mini concerto” for piano and small chamber ensemble. Like much of my music, this piece attempts to reconcile my interests in structuralism and traditional harmony. Although my music is steeped in techniques incorporating symmetry, and fragmentation, many of the structures, gestures, and harmonic contexts in this piece are evocative of a more traditional language.
