Erbe Drum Techniques by and per se and published on 2014/07/18 01:42:25 +0000 Three different techniques for making percussive sounds with the Erbe-Verb. 1. No input; EV self-oscillating; percussive envelope in to Mix, thus using it as a VCA. 2. Sine wave input; envelope multed to to Size and Pre CV inputs. In this case the sine plays a sort of bassline, which the rapidly changing reverb size and pre-delay turns into clattery metallic percussion. 3. Short envelope (or even trigger) into the audio input; small spaces and Decay near self-osc make for metallic ringing tones. In each of these, a couple of inputs are also modulated by two sequencer rows, and there's manual tweaking of the EV, sequencer and envelope to bring out variations on the basic sound. In the last two, the clip starts briefly dry before switching to completely wet, to show the difference between input and output signals.
