Just a couple years later, he created Afterhour Records and subsequently started to spin and promote at legendary venues, such as Guvernment, Circa and Comfort Zone. In 2007 he created DirtyCycle which focused on epic afterparties, boat cruises and special events. Since then, he has played in various cities and festivals around the globe, including the BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen. In 2012, He created Deep&Tech, “specifically for unusual events going on at all hours for some of the elite partygoers to fulfil their hunger for that deep, dark and dirty house beats, in authentic venues” -as he describes it. Currently, a record label is in the works, with great talents and many unreleased tracks.
When he was asked who he would call his favourite DJ/Producer, his answer was "That's not a fair question. There are many sets and tracks by various artists that give me goosebumps..and there are way too many DJs and producers that I can talk about that are beyond amazing. However, a few names that come to mind who inspired my love for House would be Steve Lawler, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Deep Dish, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Davide Squillace, Luciano, Solomun, Audiofly, Nu, SIS, and my Torontonian home boys Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato. They, as well as many producers continue to make me fall in love with House Music over and over again.. I respect them all.”
For Amir, 2018 is projected to be a tremendous year of changes and milestones. He'll be turning 40, marking it 20 years since he has turned his passion of House Music into his full time career.
