Based on Rameau's "Pygmalion" ouverture. Anaïs Borie (*1991) presents the final work of her six-month residency at MK&G. With her presentation "The Intimacy of a Cyber-Opera Singer", she invites visitors to immerse themselves in a multidimensional space through sound, light, smell and song as well as works from the MK&G collection , which makes the possibilities and limits of human existence between reality and fiction tangible. The French designer is the first funded resident of the Fund for Young Design, which the Hamburg Art Collections Foundation (SHK) launched in 2020. The aim is to invite young international designers to develop their own work with reference to the MK&G collection. With the residency program, MK&G is reactivating a central founding idea of the house, namely to be a collection of models of excellent design as a source of inspiration for designers. In a performance, the opera singer Sara Gouzy enters into a dialogue with the exhibits and sings arias and overtures by the French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau (18th century). Rameau's harmonies, which were pioneering in his time, symbolize Anaïs Borie's claim to have a comprehensive effect and to combine craftsmanship with technical innovations. Genre Soundtrack
