Matthew Gonzalez (born February 6, 1981), also known as aMazed, is a Mexican American rapper, singer, song writer and musician from Dallas, TX. He released his debut album "Cuz I'm Matt Gonzalez" in December of 2014, which is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, etc... This album encapsulates his High School years, who he was, who he is and who he wanted to be. A diary of sorts.
aMazed was born in Oak Cliff, TX and moved to the The Colony, TX in 1986. He showed a passion for music early on singing "La Bamba" by Ritchie Valens in his 1st grade talent show. Encouraged and inspired by his fathers love for music and his mothers piano playing, aMazed continued to sing, write poetry, learn to play the piano and clarinet. His parents divorce at the age of 11, only provided more drive and love for this miracle we call music.
aMazed sets himself apart in the music industry with his ability to vibe with all types of genres and people and making it his own. His musical influences range from Ritchie Valens, BB King, Muddy Waters, Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, 2Pac, Eminem, Stevie B, Cyrpress Hill, Willie Nelson, Snoop, Bob Marley and that is just to name a few. His sound and words are unique and can only be described as original.
With the release of "Cuz I'm Matt Gonzalez", he is anticipating live shows and the start of a flourishing musical career. aMazed has already started on his next project titled, "Yeah, I've Been Through That".
