The Mariner East 2 will destroy 3 acres of sanctuary forest habitat, and put her elderly parents' home in the "blast zone" of the pipeline. Supporters have gathered at the Gerhart property to bear witness to the tree cutting, and 3 protesters are occupying trees along the pipeline route. Two have been arrested for contempt of a civil court order and are being held at $100,000 bail and facing 6 months in jail for a nonviolent offense. One of the arrests happened while trying to alert workers that they were putting one of the tree-sitters in danger.
