In The Radio [disquiet0259] by Formant published on 2016-12-20T07:37:21Z This track was created for the Disquiet Junto #259. More on this 259th weekly Disquiet Junto project — “Signals Lost: Summon up a horror story in sound” — at: http://disquiet.com/0259/ -- I searched for sound files on my computer based on some of the keywords of the text. I don't currently have my FX drive with me, so these are just files that happen to be on the computer from other projects. There's lots of different radio static, some drones, etc. I added some extra musical elements. The voice is a recording of Sonya's final monologue in Chekhov's "Uncle Vanya" that I ran through multiple levels of delay. I'm not sure where the protest recording is from, but I like how it floats in. Overall this was pretty quick, and I'm very tired...
