New York is and forever will be a very special place for artists of all kinds to express themselves. Brooklyn-born Queens native, Allan Muchnik aka Allan M first hopped in a DJ booth in 2008. Prior to becoming a DJ, Allan achieved his passion for electronic music through the lifestyle of his older brother who at the time was an avid club-goer at venues such as Sound Factory, Tunnel, Exit, Roxy, Spirit, etc. At a young age Allan had begun collecting mix tapes & CD compilations of artists such as, Jonathan Peters, Victor Calderone, Danny Tenaglia, Junior Vasquez, Louie Vega, Todd Terry, Kenny Dope, Peter Rauhofer, and many others. Eventually this collection would be put to the test and open new doors to new opportunities for the future. From small house parties to local bars and eventually on to big room venues, Allan has experimented with different genres of electronic music to master his unique style of "telling a story and taking people on a journey" in his sets. To be a truly unique artist one must open up to anything & be able to manipulate all factors into something that separates them from the rest. From House to Techno & all in between Allan encapsulates a variety of moods and feelings into what comes out of the speakers. His attitude towards playing music is based on one motive and one motive only and that is to keep the crowd dancing from start to finish. Allan’s love for interacting with his crowd is infectious. The smiles on the faces he plays for gives him a smile and to him that is worth more than anything. This attitude made it possible for Allan to grow a strong following of well-known dancers and loyal supporters over the course of his career. Over the last few years, Allan has played at venues such as Pacha NYC, Cielo, Asseteria, Sankeys NYC, District 36, and more. He has played alongside names such as Chus & Ceballos, Boris, Oscar G, Adam Beyer, Victor Calderone, Monoloc, TommyFourSeven, Loco Dice, Leon (Italy), Sonny Fodera, Anthony Attalla, & a handful of other artists. Allan M & his love for music will continue to keep him going as he plans to spread his love for the craft everywhere he goes whether it is down the block from his home or halfway across the globe.
