Although science has proven that we all dream every night, many people often remember no dreams at all, and even when they do, it is almost exclusively upon awakening, after the fact.
Lucid dreams are uniquely different. One realizes that one is dreaming while the dream is still happening. The scene often suddenly expands in richness and color as the dreamer becomes aware that the world being experienced, although appearing very believable, is actually a dream and that his or her physical body is elsewhere safe asleep in bed. With this new understanding, the lucid dreamer is free to explore remarkable worlds limited only by imagination, and now not just as an actor, but also to some degree as a producer and director.
Lucid dreaming was brought into the academic and public spotlights around the world once it's scientific validity was separately proven by researchers at Stanford University, California (where it has also been proven to be a learnable skill), and at Liverpool University, England. Proof was achieved by performing, during REM sleep, a series of extreme left-right eye signals which were agreed upon prior to sleep. Though most of the body's muscles are de-activated during REM sleep, the eye muscles are not, and repeated experiments at Stanford, the Sacré-Coeur Hospital Dream and Nightmare Laboratory and elsewhere have proven that the eyes (and to some extent other physiological responses) can be brought under conscious control by a dreamer who realizes that she or he is dreaming.

I have not had the chance to lucid dream myself so I have no personal comment on it yet. I will be applying techniques in the next few months though so that I may take advantage of my own divine universal knowledge that is within me. Since we are all conected we have access to each others skills and trades. We can use lucid dreaming as a way to tech our selves new instruments, technologies, languages, recipes. Where does your imagination end?
A favorite producer of mine Bluetech is involved in a documentary project that shows lucid dreaming first hand and the power it has to teach people new skills.
Kantza is a film project envisioned and produced by members of the Shuar nation, indigenous caretakers of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Through collaboration with professional video and audio technicians the tribe intends to share the beauty of their culture as well as the struggle to preserve their homelands. Furthermore, the skills gained by making their own movie will offer on-going opportunities to document culture, share wisdom and engage the global community in ways that support social and environmental justice. Interesting thing is that they picked up the ability to use the cameras and editing software in a day from practicing using them in their dreams.
I had the chance to spend some time with Kalya Scintilla this summer who told me he learned the art of lucid dreaming and taught himself how to play the didgeridoo in 3 sleeps.
Can you imagine what you could accomplish in your daily life if you could teach yourself half your life skills while you sleep? How much time would you have to leanr the things you actually wanted to. We have been given so many tools to make our lives as unlimited as possible. Our earth has so many tolls we have yet to rediscover and use. Our body the same. We have to take time to discover our potential as a person and human race before we can evolve.
IN THIS MIX: I have carefully selected only the best underground artists to showcase the latest sound that seems to be breaking through. The west coast movement has made a nice home in Europe now bringing forth a new breed of artists that combine all the right elements to give you and unimaginable experience. This will be a dream experience that will take you from the most surreal moments, to the tripped out wacky side of your sub conscious. I didn't forget the creepy, scary and down right weird moments as well by providing a HALLOWEEN inspired feel at certain points throughout the mix. PLEASE take the time to get to know your favorite artists off here and support them.
"The height of creation is to not successfully give people what they want to hear, but rather to create a new experience in which you give the listener something they didn't know they wanted to hear in the first place".
