Alex Fechtig German singer-songwriter Alexander is 30 years old and born in Mannheim. As a child Alexander was a stutterer and playing music was the only way to express his thoughts and feelings. He started playing drums in the age of 9 followed by learning acoustic guitar, banjo and singing. In 2013, he composed his first songs with big influences of Ben Howard, Bon Iver, Passenger, Sufjan Stevens, Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran and Angus & Julia Stone. After a brief stint studying different courses at universities, Alexander decided to pursue his dream of a music career and began to study at the Popakademie in Mannheim. Now, he's been working for a few years on his music and lived beside Mannheim in London and Hamburg. In August 2019 he released his first single 'You & I' featuring the great artist Jenny Bright.
