Alessi Emeli Hartman Svensson Stockholm ALESSI - Emeli Hartman Svensson Singer - Songwriter - Pianist I am Alessi. Born and named Emeli in a tiny little village in southern Sweden. My interest for music started when I was only a little girl, influenced by big artists like Celine Dion, The Corrs, Norah Jones, Faith Hill and Eva Cassidy. As a child, I passed the audition for my very first music school. I developed my singing skills and also found another passion: playing the piano. My talent grew stronger and I loved every step of the development and coming closer to my dream. When I became a teenager, I started to sing at bars and clubs with local bands in front of a bigger audience. At the age of 16 I continued studying music in high school. I learned a lot about how to sing and improvise freely with a higher level of confidence and quality. I started to write my own songs and music. Putting words into emotions. Though it is never enough finding the words, it is how you perform them with every little detail, that is giving the words its full potential and meaning. That is what I love to do. I now live in the capital city of Sweden, reaching my goals performing in front of a new public, recording songs and being inspired by the atmosphere of Stockholm and the beautiful archipelago.
