Since the start of the pandemic, one in five health-care workers have quit their jobs. Emily may become one of them. The 22-year-old pharmacy tech from Wyoming has been working on the front lines in an industry that’s often overlooked. “They don't regard us as healthcare workers…that's how it feels – like we're working in a fast food joint.” Overworked for over a year, she details the harsh working conditions she endured during the pandemic and the nightmares that remain with her. “I would get out tomorrow if I could.”
