Cork girl Áine Duffy has been making a name for herself outside Ireland with her high energy performances, huge vocal range, song writing skills and prowess with the guitar. She has toured the UK, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Spain as well as the States where she based herself frequently. So impressed with her were they in Switzerland that she was presented with two Patrick Eggle electric guitars and then went to Birmingham to meet Patrick and Co in his guitar factory! She has also played support to acts such as Imelda May, Jack L and Kila. Still gigging with Jack L, in famous venues around Ireland.
Áine Duffy was born in Bandon west Cork and now situated in Kinsale Co. Cork.
She is motivated and passionate. She started playing music live at the age of 15.
Then she studied at Music management and sound.
Then she travelled internationally performing, from New York, LA, London, Toronto, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Dubai and Switzerland.
So impressed with her in Switzerland they presented her with two Patrick Eggle guitars and then flew her to perform in the Partick Eggle factory in Oswestry Birmingham for the factory workers, Partick himself and his family.
She also Played life exhibition in Swabish hall, Stuttgart of Tomi Ungerer, award winning controversial Illustrator and writer, whom became fast friends.
She was invited to NYC to record with Roger Greenawalt(Bruce springfield,Sophie B Hawkins) and from there built a big following, by keeping true to her own accent, style and sound.
Throughout this time Áine has also been an advocate for bettering the life of musicians in Ireland, helping with Airplay, attending events both at the US ambassadors house and more.
She also has two licensing deals and has interest in her music being used on TV/Film/Animation etc.
She has played many festivals and been critically acclaimed. All summer with her album “With Bells On” she played a tour of amazing spaces, from double Decker buses to Private parties, and developed an even more cult following from being in amongst the people and known for her friendliness and wit.
She has guest featured and co-written on DJ Dirty Freud Londons new track.
“Won’t go” video was nominated for two best music video awards, The Underground film festival and Pure M
Her new material will be mastered by Emily Lazar , Grammy award winning engineer. (David Bowie, the prodigy, Bjork,Coldplay, Sia, The Foo fighters)
