City begins repaving damaged streets by WBEZ's Afternoon Shift published on 2014-04-07T21:55:21Z The start of construction season is upon us. The Chicago Department of Transportation sent out its first crews this morning to prep streets for repaving. The city announced yesterday that it would put an additional 15 million dollars in surplus federal funds into repaving streets this year.
