[disquiet0349] Peruss by Aethyr published on 2018-09-08T00:18:31Z For the Disquiet Junto 0349, "Got Glitch?" I decided to approach "glitch" in the sense of "randomness" as well as the typical buffer/grain effects associated with IDM. Also, as with most if not all of the previous Junto projects I have participated in, it was my objective to make the track rapidly (within a few hours) rather than prevaricate over every little detail as I sometimes do with my personal work. As such, I decided to use the first ten samples I found on Freesound.org that had a Creative Commons 0 license to construct the track, picking with no particular idea or bias in mind. Some of these were musical, some were more like sound effects. I wanted to use as close to an arbitrary set of sounds as I could. I arranged the samples in a fairly standard way to construct the framework of a track, and then used many VST's (probably too many to list, really) on each track to create the "glitch" effect. A little mastering work (thanks, Ozone) was the final touch to finish off the piece.
