Interview with Aegis education officer Nepo Ndahimana by Aegis Trust published on 2015-04-03T17:26:06Z Interview with Nepo Ndahimana, an education officer for the Aegis Trust, conducted in Rwanda in 2014 by the journalist and actor Felicity Finch. Here is her introduction to the interview: "I'm Felicity Finch and I play the character of Ruth Archer in BBC Radio 4's The Archers as well as making radio features and documentaries. In 2014 I spent two weeks in Rwanda making programmes for Radio 4's Woman's Hour and Outlook on the World Service. I also, unexpectedly, met Jean Nepo Ndahimana who had been a teacher before becoming involved with the Aegis Trust's pioneering Peace Education Programme. The programme is currently visiting different locations across Rwanda, spending 21 days in each community. Nepo told me about how he wanted to help to prevent genocide ever happening again in his country. As well as workshops taking place in schools there is also an exhibition of panels depicting stories of Hutus who risked their lives by helping Tutsis to escape the killings. Nepo also shared with me some of his own experiences during the genocide. You can hear some of his interview here." Genre Felicity Finch
