ACMEʼs love for music started at an early age. He was no younger than 15,
when he gained his first experiences in the world of music-making as a
drummer in a band. When the band broke up in 1994, he sold his drums with a
heavy heart and moved on to find a new passion: Vinyl. Fittingly, this was the
same year he started to organize parties too.
Only 2 years later, in 1996 he got his first resident job in a house and techno
club near Trier, where he played music two to three times a month.
In 1997 ACME, together with Martin Lundin from Sweden, produced his first
record: “I like Base,” which was published under the famous English label
Crystal Clear.
By 1998, he started working in Rickʼs Nightcafe in Trier. There he mostly
played groovy techno, which quickly strengthened his love for this music.
Besides playing music there himself, he was responsible for booking artists,
such as Marusha, Steve Mason, Westbam, Natalie de Borah, Toni Rios,
Sebbo, Massimo, Tomcraft, Chris Liebing, Tom Novy, Future Funk and a few
more.
From 2002-2004 he was a resident in the Empire Club in Trier and was also
put in charge of booking other artists for the club.
In 2004 ACME moved to Kaiserslautern, where he was able to connect to the
scene very quickly. He became a resident in Ludwigshafenʼs “Zeitwerk”, where
he hosted his own monthly event “Minimal Electronica.”
Furthermore, ACME supported Thomas P. Heckman on his tour of Germany
and began to work intensely on his own tracks in the studio with Christian
Heid.
In October 2005, ACME and Christian Heid then founded their own label
“Hörsignal Platten.” Not long after this, they released “Soul,” “Rokko” and
“Hanging.”
In 2006, ACME started to organize various events in different locations in
Kaiserslautern, and continued to produce music with his studio partner for his
own label.
Christian Heid & ACME released the mix CD “Sweet Sixteen” in 2008, which
proved to be a great success on the CD-release tour. On the tour, they played
the CD in clubs throughout Germany.
Since 2008, ACME and Marc Keim have organized the open air events
“Stadtgeflüster” and “Waldgeflüster,” where they invite nationally and
internationally known artists every month. In the past few months, artists like
Sweet N Candy, Marcus Meinhard, DJ Emerson, Sasch BBC, Stefano Libelle,
and many more played on these events.
Currently ACME is planning his next events. And since January 2009, the
Copa Lounge in Kaiserslautern is home to his monthly event Minimal
Electronica. Since Febuary 2009 ACME is signed with the label/ booking-
/event agency “Hertz Music” in Kaiserlautern, where heʼs currently working on
new releases, following the style of TechHouse.
