Cobeat Party is the meeting place of tens of thousands of salsa lovers from around the world with DJ sets regularly streaming from some of the world's best salsa DJs. DJ Nik has been spinning and passionately collecting salsa, mambo, and Afro-Caribbean music for over 20 years. Ever since he purchased his first salsa album in 1999 (Angel Canales – Sabor), he was hooked. Originally based out of Boston and NYC, Nik has spent the last 17 years living in the San Francisco Bay Area in semi-DJ retirement and enjoying the absence of snow. In addition to over 100 nightclub and social dance party gigs, DJ Nik has played at numerous major salsa events, including the West Coast (Los Angeles), East Coast (New York), and San Francisco Salsa Congresses. He was also the head DJ for the Boston Salsa Congress (2004 and 2005) and a regular guest DJ at the world-famous Jimmy Anton Sunday Social in NYC.
