Fabrice Dayan - Sha Shtil (ABRA012) [clip] by Abracadabra TV published on 2020-08-13T10:21:01Z Download/Stream >> https://fanlink.to/shashtil A sense of mischief and rebellion is at play on the latest ABRACADABRA release from Fabrice Dayan. Perhaps it’s these current times of confusion, uncertainty, disorder, but a mystical and otherworldly charm is conjured up on ‘Sha Shtil’. The Voyeur label chief explains more; “You may heard this track during the summer of 2019, if you were a disciple to the hedonistic sessions at Circoloco, Pacha or Hi Ibiza. This production was hammered by Blond:ish, DJ Gregory and Solomun, amongst others, and hides a traditional centenary song from Eastern Europe, in Old Yiddish language. ‘Sha Shtil’ literally means ‘Shhh, be quiet’, and back in time, this composition was supposed to calm the rowdy kids in the presence of adults.” We think, however, the opposite effect has been maintained here, with rowdy scenes quite literally encouraged; ‘Sha Shtil’ casting a hallucinatory atmosphere amongst its heavy tribal percussive rhythm and shots of acid tones firing out, and the acknowledgement of a necessary transgression from an entire generation of misfits and dance music dwellers.
