Abe Speller New Jersey Abe has been playing drums since the age of 12, performing his first professional gigs at age 21 recording and touring with jazz guitarist Sonny Sharrock and keyboardist Lonnie Liston Smith. Abe later broke into the New York studio scene where he met Danish Pop singer Kim Larsen, while living in Copenhagen Denmark he spent time touring Europe and writing music for two Gold records on CBS and opening for the Rolling Stones on the Steel Wheels tour. Other artist who have had Abe's groove are Pat Benetar, Phoebe Snow and Steve Forbert among others. Back in New York it was the Downtown scene that was taking music in a new direction. It was then Abe collaborated with Emmett Chapman the inventor of the Chapman Stick performing at Two Saints and the Knitting Factory. While performing at the Knitting Factory Abe met composer/guitarist John King to begin a world tour and recording “Love is Life” John and Abe have continued writing together and can be heard on Bandcamp.com.
