Jenni Kemarre Martinello by ABCSpeakingOut published on 2013/06/07 06:20:16 +0000 Jenni Kemarre Martinello is a talented Aboriginal visual artist who's chosen to work in glass. She creates the look of traditional weaving in hot blown glass and some of her work can take a team of people to complete. Jenni recently won an Australia Council Fellowship as part of the 6th National Indigenous Arts Awards announced recently. The Canberra based artist plans to use her $90,000 to work on her craft, create a large number of pieces over the next couple of years and to meet other like minded First Nation glassworkers. Jenni was battling a cold when Speaking Out's Rhianna Patrick asked why she chose to work with glass.
