Jason Glanville by ABCSpeakingOut published on 2012-11-29T00:37:41Z How do you keep more than 14,000 young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people connected to your organisation when they go back to their communities? Well this is a question that the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence(NCIE) at Redfern in Sydney has been trying to solve. The Community of Excellence (CoE) is like the virtual online version of the NCIE and it’s hoped it will keep past participants connected not only to the centre but also to each other. CoE is a place where young Indigenous people can set goals, talk to mentors and do it all in a positive online environment. Updating what you had for breakfast won’t be something that you’ll see on this platform. Rhianna Patrick spoke to NCIE CEO, Jason Glanville about what makes this platform different to other social media sites.
