Cerulean- disquiet0197-earlypolyphony by aanes published on 2015-10-13T04:58:27Z I wanted to create a track that included the original melody, and paid homage to the floating style of early choral music, but didn't sound like early music at all. To that end I played the melody on the piano, added a ton of reverb, and created a drum rhythm that comes unglued from tempo regularly. I also filled in around the melody with some other bits of sounds. Tools used: drum sequenced in Ableton with mostly factory samples, piano, strings, celeste from NI Kontakt, synth sounds from a Novation Ultranova. There is a sample of wind I recorded at some time in the past as well.
