ODEI Paris / EH Matthys (synths) + Hoarau (vibraphone/keys) + Biscay (drums) = O D E I Booking : booking@moimoirecords.com Surprising by the marriage of various and very diferent musical visions, Odei is a work in progress succesfully completed of three musicians from our action group. On one side, the jazzy and afro-funky drumer Arnaud Biscay (from Bibi Tanga) and the pianist Maxime Hoarau, both from the conservatoire of music ; on the other side Matthys whose job as an electronic producer has already reflected an assertive style. First they had been brought together for the original soundtrack of the movie wonderland by Nathalie Bebholz and now they join themselves for live-sets giving the public a spontaneous union. Except the programations created by Matthys their show is entirely improvised as it prooved to be during festivals. The trio offers a natural and rich wedding between electronic and acoustic sounds. For 40 minutes, the public is elated from organic to chimical atmosphere with consistence and sensuality. The trio reminds us the famous Aufgang, a reference in the world of hybrid music, but artists likes Four Tet or Caribou too. After a series of improvised concerts, the three members of Odei now aspire to enter to the studio to release their first album.
