Mimieux David Hawkins San Francisco Mimieux (named after French actress Yvette Mimieux and because it sounds like a kitty cat) is the musical pseudonym of me, San Francisco writer/artist/comedian David Hawkins. In December of 2013 with no formal musical training of any kind I began putting together musical sounds using Garageband and crafting melody, harmony and structure strictly by ear. I love whimsy and melancholy. I know my tunes are rough around the edges but each comes from sincere emotion and my own life.
