Sheffield, Yorkshire,
FloodHounds deliver tight rabble-rousing live shows bursting with startlingly jagged guitar, driving bass and wild rhythmic drums with side-swipes of distorted harmonica. Lyrically catchy, the Indie rock trio’s powerful punk and blues infused tunes, stay with you long after the gig. “A riff laden, rock heavy, psychedelia packed beast” Gigslutz says.
New bass player Anna Melidone joined Jack Flynn (Guitar/Vocals) and Lauren Greaves (Drums). Her first gigs were a baptism of fire, from a rammed Tramlines fringe set; to curating their own hometown headline show as the opening night of Sensoria Festival 2021, playing Wentworth Festival along the way, and returning to Nottingham’s sold out Bodega to support Kid Kapichi in November.
Pre-lockdown highlights include being playlisted on BT TV, receiving Sensoria’s songwriting awards from Richard Hawley, and playing major festivals like Isle Of Wight, Liverpool Sound City and Brighton Alt Escape. Alongside their own sold-out headline shows, they’ve relished playing packed support slots for the likes of The Blinders; Calva Louise, King Nun, Childcare, BlackWaters, Strange Bones and PINS, and sharing festival stages with Demob Happy, Saint Agnes, False Heads & The Mysterines. The band have also ventured twice to play Paris gigs.
During live music closures, FloodHounds were busy putting out live streams and sessions for platforms such as, Jagermeister, God Is In The TV Zine and Wentworth Festival; as well as self-producing a 10-track acoustic album and an animated video made by Jack, for ‘Out Of Time’. They made Record Store Day’s national video competition’s final shortlist, and their technically ambitious ‘Take It Too Far' video, already playlisted by BT TV, placed 2nd in the London Music Video Festival 2020 category.
FloodHounds latest single, “Panic Stations” (out in March 2022) captures FloodHounds’ raw and unruly live energy. A blast of stomping, fuzzed up guitar, savage drums and punchy bass that taps into the melody of indie, the grit of blues and the fury of punk. Pre-Save Here - https://kycker.ffm.to/panicstations
