PAULETTE
Manchester
For nearly three decades and over three countries, Paulette has held residencies at some of the most prestigious clubs and best parties in the world, including the Hacienda (Manchester), The Zap Club (Brighton), The Ministry of Sound, Queen Club and Mix Club (Paris), Cocoon (Frankfurt), Ibiza Rocks at Pacha and at Pikes Hotel (Ibiza). She has a unique range, a keen musical ear and has supported the cream of the crop - from Janelle Monae to Gilles Peterson, from Norman Jay to Black Coffee, from 2Many DJs, Soulwax, Derrick Carter, David Guetta, Laidback Luke, SHM, Afrojack, Bob Sinclar, Didier Sinclair, Fafa Monteco to Duke Dumont, Jaymo & Andy George, Junior Sanchez, Artwork, Moodymanc and Mr Scruff. Her selections are on point, no matter which genre or room she plays in and she shines - and headlines - above her own star.
From radio to bar to club to festivals, from back room to main room, from warm up to headline, she is a champion of great music – digging deep in the crates for sets of uplifting party hip hop, raw funk and rare grooves, soulful vocals and diamante strewn disco, jacking / deep house and tearing techno. Her dynamic and uplifting shows plus her award-winning PR work for Talkin Loud, Mercury Records and work overseas with Radio FG (France) have earned her gold records, awards and plaudits and much international recognition and respect. As capable of entertaining a club with an 8 hour odyssey or a 10 minute mini mix, Paulette knows instinctively how to read then flip a room. She pays and plays it forward, inspiring a new generation by channelling her energies into youth work, activism, mentoring and radio / dj workshops at conferences, Universities and colleges around the country.

Paulette was certainly a force to be reckoned with behind the decks teaching Norman and I a lesson or 10.... great to see Paulette is still roaming the planet with her box of musical delights and all-round goodness... seeing her spinning at @weoutherefest was one of the highlights for me... she’ll be spinning at many of next summer’s festivals - make sure you catch her if you can!
The Guardian – November 2019:
No fighting or ego biting! Homoelectric, Manchester's queer clubbing utopia
“And it’s a testament to Mancunian hardiness that hundreds brave the arctic conditions to cavort to local hero DJ Paulette doling out fruity house numbers on an alfresco terrace”. Gabriel Szatan
MIF.co.uk cited her as one of their favourite ‘Manchester Artists who made MIF 19’ http://djpaulette.co.uk/article/readallaboutit-when-the-mif-said-nice-things-about-me-16012020/
She was voted in the Red Bull – 10 Manchester DJs you should know – 2019, Manchester Evening News ‘Top 5 Women in the Manchester Music Industry 2018’ (February 2018) and one of A-Magazine’s ‘Manchester Women Of The Year 2018’ (March 2018)
2020’s highlights are already shimmering as she has dazzled in the line ups for Homoelectric in Manchester in February and Honey Dijon’s ‘Full Fantasy’ party at Corsica Studios, Flesh In Tension – Leeds, Glitterbox – London and headlines for River Stage for the National Theatre in July, Kelburn Garden Festival, Beat Herder, Queen’s Yard Summer Party, We Out Here and Dekmantel Selectors in August in and there’s some top secret news incoming in London and Brighton too.
