Creek Heathens Toepka Darrell Broxterman ~ Percussion David Howard ~ Bassanjo Judd Henry Mason ~ Banjo Lamont Moldenhauer ~ Guitar Terry Wenger ~ Mandolin Formed in the summer of 2012 the Creek Heathens, from Topeka Kansas, have come on strong and made their presence know wherever they go. With a blend of Outlaw Country, Bluegrass, Punk and Rock influences the Creek Heathens present a energetic and rowdy acoustic sound that'll get your heat pumping and feet moving. Lamont Moldenhauer, who many claim be to extremely loud and down right vulgar plays fast paced rhythms and hard hitting leads on his acoustic guitar; Terry "The Groovoligist" Wenger melds the sweet chops and blurring speed of the mandolin into his special sound; Darrel Broxterman will pound on just about anything that makes noise, using an old bass drum, a washboard from Lamont's grandmother, and assorted objects he adds a driving force that makes you wanna move; David Howard, what can we say, David plays what he has dubbed the Bassanjo, an instrument he made which is odd mix of stand-up bass and banjo that makes for an interesting audial and visual experience. With so many interesting styles and unique sounds it's no wonder that they have created a sound of their own that's hard a categorize. You just have to check them out to understand!
