8-Bit Brooklyn Originally signed to Digital Hut/Brooklyn Music Ltd Records, 8Bit's freshman release was "Emanationz", a collectable 7" white vinyl distributed internationally...in the nineties, when there was only techno. From 1994-1999 he released singles and tracks on various electronic music compilations ranging from techno to electro while simultaneously Directing music videos for MTV Amp for artists including Frankie Bones, Expansion Union & Atomic Babies (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL236392BD38A7F72E) By last count though, he had released over 50 songs under different aliases on several compilations. After the fall of Brooklyn Music Ltd in 1999, he released what would be his first full length album on his own label, "The Dead Tracks", followed up with "Reinterpret" in 2001 and most recently "Neighbor Killing Musak for Post-Millenials" in 2011. A warehouse full of his lost 12", 'War Is!" burned down in 2002 burning all the vinyl with it. 8Bit is common term in 2015. It's a genre, an artform, a style and a word DJ's throw in front of their names to be cool. Before the arena parties, before video game music and before the hype there was an original 8-Bit. 8Bit is now Geo Magnetick @geomagnetick. Follow his new work there.
