BLAK JUJU Blak Juju is a Belgian band formed in 2018 by Dirk Jans (drummer from the well known Belgian bands De Mens and Brasseur) and Sibyl Jacob (former singer at Moiano, DJ4T4, Buscemi). They go for a long time when it comes to writing songs... partners in crime as they say. Back in 2016, Sibyl met with Dirk Swartenbroekx, they crossed each other on an evening out in the rue de Flandre in Brussels. Sibyl knew Dirk from a former cooperation, as she did a summer tour with Buscemi in 2003, but since then they kind of lost contact. So from this nice reunion, a 3rd Blak juju member was born. Dirk Swartenbroekx, well known from the band Buscemi, is a fixture in the Belgian DJ landscape. He’s known for his eclectic and tropical DJ sets and often works with guest singers and rappers like TD Rankin ( Steve Emmanor), thé missing link for Blak Juju, who’s often mixing reggae beats and electro blended with Jamaïcain rap and vocals in various styles. Blak Juju brings an original style of dance and makes people move on the dance floor!
