3epkano 3epkano Dublin 3epkano are a Dublin based collective, formed by Cameron Doyle and Matthew Nolan, who are dedicated to producing original soundtracks to silent, avant-garde, and contemporary cinema. Since 2004, the group have played numerous headline shows in both Ireland and the US to critical acclaim. They have also been commissioned to produce new music for a number of prestigious institutions including The National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin Fringe Festival, Film Society of Lincoln Centre and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in New York. In 2008 the group took responsibility for curating the new alternative music strand at the Kilkenny Arts Festival, a programme which included Mercury Rev, Spiritualized, and Lisa Hannigan to name but a few. They returned to BAM in 2010 to premier their score for Diary of a Lost Girl and also performed early in 2011 at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC to launch their winter movie calendar. Their latest project involves a collaboration with the renowned Irish singer, Iarla O’Lionaird, on a score for the German expressionist classic, Der Golem. They celebrate 10 years together as a band in 2014 and will mark this with a series of prestigious events in Ireland, Germany, France, and the US. 2014 will also see a DVD release of their soundtrack to Der Golem.
