3 generations of groove Wayne Vaughn Los Angeles Three Generations of Groove (3GG) is a family band led by producer/songwriter Wayne Vaughn, who is best known for writing Earth, Wind, and Fire’s 1980’s smash “Let’s Groove Tonight.” The group’s name originates from Vaughn’s first solo jazz album entitled Three Generations of Groove, which features live performances from his father; the late Harvey Vaughn; wife, Wanda Vaughn lead singer of Grammy Award winning trio The Emotions; and children, Wendi and Wyann Vaughn. As a true family affair, 3GG brings their blend of R&B, jazz, and funk to the stage through classic hits and new melodic innovations. Performing live with the family are world-class musicians and occasional celebrity guests. Miki Howard, Brian McKnight, Karen Briggs, and Nancy Wilson are a few industry greats who have added their gifts to the family’s sound.
