João Melgueira

The Label Manager of Alienação Records is an example of how social networks have become the main advertising platform, as well as artistic meeting point, tearing down the traditional barriers set by distance. With an interest towards discovering new talents and an assumed detatchment from music theory, João Melgueira explores the exaltation of a dance floor culture where what remains is the thrill of movement. It's that thrill he brings into the booth, where he steps in different territories, reviving the bliss and undertow of the body's expression through the pulse of the beat and the vitality of synths. Sets and courses marked by an improvised but conscious physicality where dance ocurrs by spontaneous impulse. With an empirical experience as goal, he promotes the redescovery of more or less comun places and sensations through dance. The only motto to keep in mind: dance, dance, otherwise we are lost.
