During my residency at the Isang Yun House in Berlin in 2018, I wrote a solo bassoon piece, Yun, commissioned by bassoonist Adrian Morejon. Living in the Isang Yun house helped me to imagine the life of this seminal Korean composer more closely, and contemplate his advocacy for a peaceful Korean peninsula. This piece has become the seed of my ongoing Korean Peace Project.
