Biography
Zoë Xenia, hailing from Amsterdam in the Netherlands started her
music career as a singer and songwriter. Bitten by the House bug
she began to produce and develop her own style of electronic music
- a hybrid of rolling basses, chords and funk fuelled beats. Using her
soulful voice both as a lead vocal and as an instrument itself, she
creates her unique atmospheric sound.
Zoë Xenia performs both as a DJ and a Live electronic act for parties
and festivals throughout Europe and around the world. Her own
productions have been released on labels such as Plastic City,
Connaisseur, BassCulture, Suara and Kosmo Records.
2012 has been a quite a productive year for this lady already, her track
“Heart & Spirit“ made together with Francesco Bonora for Brazilian
label High Definition reached nr 10 in the Deep House top 100 downloads
on Beatport earlier this year, she followed up with 3 solo ep's and just
released together with Swedish DJ/producer Cari Lekebusch on his
label H-Productions.
Apart from producing her own music, Zoë Xenia has worked as a
vocalist for other artists. She wrote lyrics for global superstar
DJ Richard Grey and sang for Kosmo Records on the re-release of
BBE's huge dance-hit “7 Days And One Week”, as well as appearing
in the accompanying video clip.
Currently Zoë Xenia has finished with producing her first album for
Plastic City and she has another ep planned as well with Cari Lekebusch
on German label Kling Klong next month. All in all this year is shaping up
into something special for Zoë.
