Mostly breaks dj, from Zagreb, Croatia. Resident at mighty "Pistolero". Facinated with music from the earliest childhood, Zmayo was buying records as 10 years old. As a kid, he listened rock, mostly classic and later grunge, stoner and similar hybrid styles which were big in the early nineties. During the mid nineties, he came to Zagreb's university, and the fluctuation of ideas and informations was much faster so he got hooked on different new styles of music, mostly electronic stuff like big beat / breakbeat but also stoner jazz-funk from the late 60s and early 70s and, of course, psy-trance. He started dj-ing in the late 90s and after few years of fooling around, he met Kirg, and after several underground parties, together with VJ Wild Bronco, in 2005. they started breakbeat project Pistolero in club Mochvara, which takes place constantly since then (now in AKC Medika). Because of the huge influence that Eat Static made on his mind and soul, Zmayo is also following trends on psychedelic scene and sometimes you can hear him play deep-driving-psy-trance sets on 144-145 bpms. Recently, he started buying dubstep records and if he is in the mood, you can hear him play deep-spacey drum'n'bass neuro stompers. However, love number one is breakbeat, and today, his dj sets, which are mostly cd-vinyl combination, can be described as nuskool/psy/dub/electro/tech/breaks on 140 bpms. As a dj, he performed across the region and was playing alongside with names like Eat Static, Digitalis, Santos, Robosapiens, Freestylers, Saiko-Pod, J-Bass, Tricky-D, Amb, Hoodwink, Kirdec, Lomo, Transglobal Underground, LuQas, Hedflux etc. Bookings: pistolero.breaks@gmail.com
