WHAT IS IS WHAT

Born by the Muses of Helicon, the essence of our story ultimately begins amid air-borne expressions generated by a shared thirst for fusion. Zetizen was formed by Brittany Beckett, Cory Metrick, Lubomir Smilenov, and Tom Tarkazikis in November of 2011 in response to a gig opportunity at Sullivan Hall in NYC. The initial thrust of motion solidified mutual appetites for experimentation into a pooled collective study of diverse genre spectrums. Thereafter, Zetizen began to blossom under the wings of Good Love Entertainment and Consider the Source at Sullivan Hall and the procession that became Hiro Ballroom’s last held concert.

Zetizen explores experimental fusion,Jazz-Rock, and NASA's audio archives, with a touch of Balkan music. We utilize conventional western instrumentation with Middle Eastern/Balkan instruments to present a multi-cultural blend of sonorous chaos, inciting rebellion amongst your feet.
