It’s been two weeks since your last letter and it feels like an eternity. When I hear the mail arrive, my heart soars as I carefully open the envelope and savor every word. It’s almost like Christmas. I wish they were all a thousand pages long so that I would never have to stop reading.
I went into the city last week and passed by our old building. Do you remember when we used to dance on the rooftop at night in the rain, and you’d spin me around and my hair would get so wet it would stick to my face and you had to push it out of the way just to kiss me? And Mrs. Lourdes would always tell us we were going to catch our death up there as we passed her door on the way downstairs? I miss trying to sneak past her door before racing you down the stairs to our flat. Sometimes I’d let you win just so that you’d do that silly victory dance. I miss the excitement of those nights, even though our clothes were soaked and it was cold. I miss dancing with you in the rain.
I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about you. I miss running my fingers through your hair. Standing on tip-toes to reach your lips or singing off key on purpose in the car to annoy Liv. I miss your stupid jokes and the way you absent mindedly push your glasses up your nose while you’re working. I miss you even when I am sleeping. I lie awake at night in the dark and listen to the rain gently tapping the window pane and I imagine dancing with you again until sleep finally finds me. My heart aches every time I wake to feel your empty place beside me. I miss waking up to your smile and your warmth.
Please come home safely. I love you.

Lavvvv itttt!!!!!!why did I missed this??? wonderful, touching, drenching, I felt like a girl listening to a music box that tells a story... wonderful words Z... it's something in the way Dave...errr Mr G. plays the piano and turns one so lyrical, so poetic...you feel that ??? @aramelia-rose-gothique: I was crying while I read it. I think that helped... I turned off the lights and worked by laptop / cellphone light. The music and the rain sounds just helped set the whole mood. It was honestly one of the coolest songs I've worked on. Totally spontaneous and way fun to do. Even if I was crying :)

@Zefora: the choice of timing the chord progression (with the change of key), and the upcoming shift of playing style goes hand in hand with the breathtaking monolog, IMO.
This sounds like some Oscar award-winning drama monolog...

@Hayes Starns: @Hayes Starns: definitely agree with the need for replies to be implemented - ive stumbled back on replies to comments plenty of times revisitng tracks, and it would make sc much more social. it would also deter spammers when they see a big "get **#*#* msg" come back i to their notifications.

@Zefora: I agree on making it easier to follow responses to your comments..It get really messy trying to remember all the tracks you comment on and who responded...Some people even ask a question...it would be a shame to mess those questions...

@ac-john: there aren't many ideas there at all. I have lots of ideas on how to make SoundCloud easier to use. I could care less about Facebook and having a pro comment on my tracks. I'm pretty sure pros are busy enough without having to go listen and give tips on random tracks for free. It's time consuming. I know enough talented producers here that I can ask for tips from or to just listen to a mix. Now if you want to talk about making group adding easier or notifications to replies to your comments or making your inbox searchable or any of that sort of thing, give me a ring. I have ideas.
