like the reversed brassy loop, maybe do a crossfade with the chordal bit rather than the abrupt ending of the brassy loop, keep it going a bit longer if you get me

whats making the extra click on the kick - is there a 707 on top or something? - or is it a single 808 comp'd a lot? - very nice whatever it is :)

    2. zander on November 14, 2009 14:18

@raytrace: definately a layered kick I reckon mate then probably groupd and eqed not sure I added compression on it tho

The clap is nice, kinda lofi. At first I thought it would sound better as a higher-quality sample, but it fits much better in the mix later this way.

    2. zander on November 14, 2009 14:16

@Campadrenalin: yeah can get the point there, still not happy wioth the clap snare, and the battle later on mind it goes under (the clap)

    1. narcofunk on November 16, 2009 22:19

I like it, good work. I'd try changing hats and snare's samples, but might be just a matter of taste. I'd also double the hats loop in length and make more variation, because when there are few elements in the ears you notice that it's a 4/4 loop(when you shouldn't notice about stuff being a loop at all). I tell you this because it happens often to me too. Cheers.

      very nice 808 - and a very pretty waveform - looks like it's anti-aliasing itself :D

    2. zander on November 14, 2009 14:20

@raytrace: hehe its the first time its looked like that does that mean good, its not as pretty as some I have seen tho smooth rolling curves :)

    3. raytrace on November 14, 2009 17:02

@zander: hehe It's usually reverb tails those repeated parts of the shape I think - I think it is good to have a nice looking waveform :D

    4. periperiperi on November 14, 2009 21:05

@raytrace: oooo, hey, yeah, that is a pretty wave form ;)

the swirls are ace, particularly like the metalic digital sounds, what plugs are you using on this one?

    2. zander on November 13, 2009 10:25

@rayspark-industries: hello mate, a mixture of noise, lfos and fx i think, some of em seem a bit thin, but trying to start making more sounds I dunno :)

cool bass sound, with this later on in the track i think it would be nice to have it jump up and octave or two randomly/ unexpected only every 32 bars or something to awaken the masses ;-)

    2. zander on November 13, 2009 10:26

@rayspark-industries: may well explore something like this with this one, not finished with the bugger yet :)

great atmosphere - seriously I dunno how you do it - you must have a tardis or something, cos somehow you always capture that kinda Belgian/Dutch R&S and (good) early trance sound, not really necessarily the sound verbatim, but the feel - it kinda seems to still have the excitement in just actually creating something that seemed to be around then :) - anywayz as usal I digress eheh - great track :D

    2. zander on October 31, 2009 16:26

@raytrace: :) do you like it then? I dunno maybe I am stuck in that phase I hope not, though that period of music I love and still find inspires me a lot!! :)

    3. raytrace on October 31, 2009 18:23

@zander: i like it a lot :) - no i dont think your 'stuck' in that phase - certainly not as much as I am anyway hehe :p
