whats making the extra click on the kick - is there a 707 on top or something? - or is it a single 808 comp'd a lot? - very nice whatever it is :)
-
@raytrace: definately a layered kick I reckon mate then probably groupd and eqed not sure I added compression on it tho

The clap is nice, kinda lofi. At first I thought it would sound better as a higher-quality sample, but it fits much better in the mix later this way.
-
@Campadrenalin: yeah can get the point there, still not happy wioth the clap snare, and the battle later on mind it goes under (the clap)

I like it, good work. I'd try changing hats and snare's samples, but might be just a matter of taste. I'd also double the hats loop in length and make more variation, because when there are few elements in the ears you notice that it's a 4/4 loop(when you shouldn't notice about stuff being a loop at all). I tell you this because it happens often to me too. Cheers.
-
@narcofunk: nice one dude, yeah no problem I see what you mean :)

great atmosphere - seriously I dunno how you do it - you must have a tardis or something, cos somehow you always capture that kinda Belgian/Dutch R&S and (good) early trance sound, not really necessarily the sound verbatim, but the feel - it kinda seems to still have the excitement in just actually creating something that seemed to be around then :) - anywayz as usal I digress eheh - great track :D
-
@raytrace: :) do you like it then? I dunno maybe I am stuck in that phase I hope not, though that period of music I love and still find inspires me a lot!! :)

now THATS how a buildup should be :D - it should actually explode and go into something - not just plonk back down into the same weak watery 808 patterns (I think you know what Im talking about ;) )
-
@raytrace: agreed i reckon a massive break beat would be good here - jungle tekno!!

with every track, your mixing skills get better and better. Sounds great on my end when comparing. Just remember to slap PVD if/when you see him for me. And remember what i was yakking about before, don't overdo that multiband. Because it can be quite addictive (you didn't in this instance)

Oh man - this is really, really good! Love the basses, kick (very nice) and the touch of acid on the melody. Simple, moody, dark, underground and should be heard in a dark sweaty club! Top Notch!
-
@Mark-Anthony (N.Ireland): Thanks mark cheers for the enthusiasm

Again, your turning house from a boring mundane pile into this. An adventure in sound. It almost sedates me man. Good show dabblehead =D
