This song was inspired by dazzlingly intense times in Paris last year. Rippling 5/4 strains of koto, accordion, toy piano, moaning horns, sappy sirens, glittering glitches, grinning gasps for air in a flood of way too much information and emotion under that stupid tower. While writing and reflecting on these times, I also did an exhibition of paintings called HEAVYLIGHT at the Invisible Hand Gallery in my home base Lawrence, Kansas. Thanks to philosopher Sid Premak for the line, "a noun is a slow verb." Massive thanks to engineer Brian Miller for bringing his gear to my art studio and recording most of these tracks which I've mixed into the florid over-indulgence you hear now.
