As the nights begin to draw in and the summer closing parties seem all but a distant memory, we offer some winter solace in the form of Yukio Bergholdt's - Translucidas EP.

The Danish deep house producer has crafted a melancholy trip veering slightly leftfield by calling on a smooth yet edgy pallet of metallic washes and tech sounds.

Two different takes of the same track feature Yukio's trademark ethereal soundscapes juxtaposed intelligently with understated woody percussion. Machine like motifs are mangled and stretched as the arrangement unfolds almost organically, while maintaining interest and simplicity in equal measure.
